Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
The short version. MyDugsi shows no ads and doesn’t track you. You can learn without an account: then your progress stays on your device and we never receive it. If you create an account, we keep your email, your name and your progress so they follow you to your other devices, and you can delete the account at any time. To play audio and load text, your device connects to a few outside providers, and like any website they see your IP address.
1. Who is responsible
MyDugsi, run from the United States, is responsible for this Service. Contact: support@mydugsi.org. Mailing address: MyDugsi, 200 S 21st St, Ste 400A, Lincoln, NE 68510. This policy covers mydugsi.org and the MyDugsi apps for iPhone and Android.
2. What stays on your device
Without an account, these are stored only on your phone or in your browser, and are never sent to us:
- your lesson progress, review schedule, test results and streaks;
- letters, words and verses you save;
- your settings, such as theme, reciter, translation and text size;
- audio you download for offline listening.
You can erase all of it at any time: see Delete your data.
3. If you create an account
An account is optional. It lets you post, take part in Challenges, and keep your progress on more than one device. If you create one, we keep:
- your email address, to sign you in and to send you sign-in codes;
- your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, so we can’t read it;
- the name you choose, which other learners see next to your posts;
- your progress, saved items and settings (the list in section 2), so they follow you to your other devices;
- if you play Challenge, your record (matches played, won, lost and drawn). Only you see the numbers; a player you’re matched with sees only a level worked out from them (New to Challenge, Learning, Getting good or Strong), and it is used to match you with players at a similar level;
- if an account breaks the community rules, a note that it may not post.
This is kept by our service providers on servers in the United States: Supabase holds accounts and progress, and Resend sends the sign-in emails. They handle it only to run MyDugsi for us.
Logging out leaves your account as it is. Settings → Delete account deletes the account and everything in it straight away. If you can’t log in, email support@mydugsi.org from your account’s address and we’ll delete it.
4. What we don’t do
We don’t ask for your name, email or phone number to use the course; only an account needs an email and a name. We don’t sell or share personal information. We don’t show ads, use advertising IDs, or use analytics, tracking cookies or tracking pixels. We don’t build profiles of you.
5. If you email us
If you write to support@mydugsi.org, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you and to fix problems, and we delete them within 12 months unless we need to keep them for a legal reason.
6. App stores
Apple and Google handle app downloads and updates under their own privacy policies. We don’t receive your Apple ID or Google account.
7. Security
All our pages use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to our accounts and systems is limited and protected with multi-factor sign-in. If a security breach ever affects your personal information, we will tell you, and the authorities where the law requires, without unreasonable delay.
8. Where data is handled
MyDugsi is run from the United States. Outside providers may handle requests on servers in other countries.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Before any important change, we will show a notice in the app and update this page first.
